New "Up" Trailer - Squirrel!!

Today the new trailer for Pixar's upcoming film, "Up", was released. I got the opportunity to sit it on the panel for this with Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera at WonderCon last weekend, and they took almost 20 minutes just showing film clips. Let me just say that the trailer previously released did not even begin to touch on how funny, sweet, and touching those clips were - and how incredibly excited I am to see this film in its entirety! They had a showing of the first 46:17 min. that evening, for the first 250 people to line up. But I didn't feel the need to torture myself by getting emotionally involved in a film and then having them shut it off halfway through. I'll wait till the end of the month to enjoy it beginning to end.

In the meantime, take a look at the new trailer. It shows us more of the characters, and a little more of the relationship between the characters. Kevin, the ginormous bird, was hilarious in the clips we saw; and I was happy to see that the little boy, Russell, who could potentially be incredibly annoying, actually was very funny and endearing. And Ed Asner is brilliant in his voicing of Carl, the curmudgeonly old man who is trying to escape being sent to an old folks home after his wife passed away - so he decides to fly his house to South America with balloons! I know, brilliant, right? And yet it works.

I know I'm a Pixar fangirl who would go see their movies even if they didn't look good, but I think this one's going to be another Pixar winner. BTW, I know a lot of folks didn't love Monsters Inc. (Pete Docter did that film as well), but it holds a special place in my heart. I'm looking forward to May 29th. Squirrel!!

Who doesn't love Monsters Inc.?!

Looking forward to seeing this one Also, can it be any more obvious that they used Spencer Tracy as the model for Carl?
