365 Bi-Weekly Round-Up #3

It's the middle of the week, so that means it's time to catch up on my 365 photos. I figure I'll do this twice a week and see how that works out for people.

And away we go...

#11: Plumber's crack
OK, so it's Wally the cat crack, but the actual dishwasher repairman spent most of his time lying on his belly on the floor. And chatting for 2 hrs straight. But, for the first time in the 4 years we've rented this house, our dishwasher actually washes the dishes!!

#12: Touma's Baboo is a hit with the ladies!
I love this figure's giant smile, and anything round makes me happy. Especially when that smile could be interpreted with naughty ideas! And who wouldn't be when next to Vargas' lovely hula girl pin-up? This is the first photo in the set I've fiddled with. This one I "aged" by yellowing and adding the grain (thanks to a suggestion by the hubby!)

#13: View from the Floor
I was trying not to take too many with the cats - especially the same cat within a 3-day period!, but I really liked the angle on Wally sleeping here, with my "Pink Umbrella" painting behind/above him, and his arm hanging off the side of the couch. I also liked the juxtaposition of the straight angles behind Wally and the couch, versus the curves of his body and the draping blanket. And the white negative space is really interesting. I've been into negative space a lot after my life drawing and oil painting classes. I only wish I had taken this with the good camera instead of my iPhone so the resolution was better.

Check in Sunday for the next round-up! And don't forget, if you want to see them day by day, you can go directly to my Flickr.

I like the roundup idea, since there's a bit more context to the photos. I may do the same, since I'm all about COPYING THE SHIT OUT OF CHELC OR BEARCLAU!
