Free Fox Bookmarks

How adorable and sweet are these fox bookmarks? And they're free for anyone to print out and use - having real books just became even more satisfying. Because an electronic bookmark on an eReader just isn't the same.

*Note: I actually don't hate eReaders, in fact, buying a Kindle for my husband has saved us lots of bookshelf space. But I will always love the physical feel, smell, and weight of a real book!

I just like that staring at a real book for 30 minutes before I go to bed doesn't screw up my sleep.

Screw up your sleep? Is that a problem with eReaders? From my experience, the Kindle has no eye strain drawbacks.

I don't know... it was a problem for me, and I had eye strain even when it wasn't bedtime, so I got rid of it. Now I just have the ipad, which doesn't cause my eyes to hurt during the day, but if I read on it right before bed (or look at a computer monitor), I may as well have a triple shot of espresso.

I've wondered if it was the size of the Kindle, if maybe I got the DX I'd be ok...

Either way, I've adopted a "No Technology In The Bedroom" rule. No readers, TVs, phones, nothing. Best move ever. Now the bedroom is just for sleeping and...

Wow, that's interesting. I haven't heard that problem before.

Bold move on your part, banning all tech from the bedroom. Probably very healthy, but I don't think we could ever do it. We have to fall asleep to a movie every night! I'd blame my crazy dreams on that, but it actually helps to turn my brain off.

That's what I use a real book for. Usually short story, non-fiction travel writing, so that I've only got 10-20 pages before the story is over. You should try it, pick up "Pecked To Death By Ducks," or anything by Tim Cahill for starters.
